Avi samudrala is an incredibly innovative businessman and thinker as well as the creator of AskSunday.com. Samudrala attended one of the more prestigious business schools in the Southern United States, the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, which is considered to be one of the Southern Ivy League schools. After graduating, Samudrala worked for AEA Investors, which is a private equity firm. He worked as an associate at that firm. Samudrala co-founded AskSunday.com with his friend Steve Ludmer in November of 2006. In July 2007, AskSunday.com began actually offering services. Avi samudrala got the idea from being too busy all the time. He needed a personal assistant but did not have the money to pay a traditional personal assistant for their service. This is a common problem for professionals—they need help lightening their workload by passing off the easier tasks, but do not have tens of thousands of dollars to spare.
AskSunday.com is a website which offers users access to a pool of online personal assistants. Personal assistants have not traditionally been available to the average professional. However, AskSunday.com makes segments of the population which are less affluent no less able to attain personal assistants. The personal assistant is no longer just for Wall Street bankers and CEOs. Avi samudrala made personal assistants much more available to the average person.
